Do my cleaners need to download an app?
No. They open a link on any phone and sign in with their name and a 4-digit PIN. It can be added to the home screen so it looks like an app.
Is it only for Airbnb cleaning?
No. It handles regular domestic rounds, one-offs, end of tenancy, offices and short-let turnovers. Spick HQ runs all of these in our own companies.
Can it replace Xero or QuickBooks?
For most small and mid-sized cleaning companies, yes. It keeps a proper double-entry ledger with invoices, expenses, bank reconciliation, profit and loss, VAT figures and aged debtors. If your accountant prefers their own software, you can export everything.
Does it file my VAT return with HMRC or Revenue?
Not yet. Spick HQ gives you the VAT return figures, and you or your accountant submit them. Direct filing is on our list.
Can customers book online?
Yes. Every company gets its own booking page. You can also keep it off and book everything from the office.
Where is my data stored?
In data centres in London. Each company's data is kept separate, and cleaners only see their own jobs. Invoice links are private and can't be guessed.
Do you work in Ireland?
Yes. Prices are in euro, invoices handle Irish VAT, and one of our own companies is in Dublin.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Monthly plans stop at the end of the month. You can export your customers, jobs and invoices whenever you like.
Who's behind Spick HQ?
People who run cleaning and short-let companies in Edinburgh and Dublin. Spick HQ grew out of BedsReady, the housekeeping software we built for our own hotels and short-lets.
